Stablecoin transfers on networks like Base or Solana cost fractions of a cent and settle in seconds, making them the only viable option for machine-to-machine micropayments at scale.
Why the SaaS Subscription Model Breaks for Agents
The SaaS industry has been built on monthly or annual subscriptions—a model that works when a human is making a purchasing decision and using the software over time. But AI agents don’t commit to tools for a month. They invoke services on-demand, often for a single task: one translation, one identity verification, one data enrichment call. The CPO at Tazapay argues that this forces a shift to per-call pricing, where an agent is billed only for what it consumes.
